This event not only raises critical funds to support our home-building projects but also brings together community leaders, businesses, and individuals who share our vision of a world where everyone has a safe and affordable place to call home.
Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity is the local foothills affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We serve the mountain areas of western Jefferson County, Clear Creek County, and parts of Park County up to Kenosha Pass and assist low-income families in building and buying their own homes.
We are a locally run organization started by twelve volunteers in Evergreen in 1990. Today Blue Spruce has hundreds of volunteers who contribute thousands of hours a year. Like all Habitat affiliates, Blue Spruce is a locally-based organization that depends on local funding and volunteers to build our homes. We also operate our Habitat ReStore in Bergen Park to help fund our program. Our current homes are being built in Idaho Springs with additional lots in Evergreen and Conifer.
Blue Spruce Habitat homeowners are local residents. They include teachers, employees of local government, healthcare workers, and others.
