The evening will begin at 5:30 for cocktail hour, followed by a seated 3 course dinner and a short program including exclusive performances by the DanceAspen artists. The event will conclude with a live auction and short paddle raise and finally an epic dance party and Bandstand Competition with audience participation hosted by the DanceAspen dancers!
Entertainment
Enjoy Dirty Dancing themed performances by the DanceAspen artists and dance the night away with DJ Naka G! Most importantly, we will need to see your dance moves for our annual “Bandstand Style” dance competition…dust off your dancing shoes and start practicing that foxtrot, because someone is taking home the trophy for this “Dirty Dancing” Edition!
Dress
In the spirit of dance and romance, we are paying tribute to the iconic 1987 classic, Dirty Dancing. Evoking the era of the 60s and 80s attire can range from suit to shirt and tie, cocktail dress to palazzo pants. If you want to go the extra mile, show us your best Baby, Penny, or Johnny Castle look!

Last year was DanceAspen’s Inaugural Bandstand Gala and it was a smashing success! The gala quickly sold out and was touted as the “party of the year”! This year we are sticking to our Aspen Bandstand event and competition but spicing it up with a “Dirty Dancing” twist.
DanceAspen’s Aspen Bandstand Gala serves as the primary fundraising event to carry the company through their third successful season. All contributions will go towards DanceAspen’s mission to continue to bring exciting new choreography to the valley, enrich the community with outreach and education and support the local dance artists who have made Aspen their home.
Since the formation of DanceAspen in 2021, DanceAspen has made leaps and bounds in their goal of creating a full-time, local dance company and has been established as an integral part of the Aspen arts community. The company has performed 4 premieres at the Wheeler Opera House, shared a fun and family friendly Holiday Pop-Up Series for the community, toured to multiple locations in Colorado including the esteemed Vail Dance Festival, completed a residency at the University of Utah and has held open classes and seminars for the community. DanceAspen continues to bring world class dancers and choreographers together in a way that enhances the Aspen experience for locals and continues to establish Aspen as the amazing arts hub to the community abroad.
