Doors open 6:00 PM
The Rose
1119 Washington Ave, Golden, CO 80401
Hold onto your saddles! Campfires & Cocktails will be September 14th, at The Rose in Golden Colorado for a special evening supporting children facing childhood cancer. Over 2,000 patients and siblings have enjoyed fun and friendship at Camp Wapiyapi since 1998 – at no cost to their families. We need your help to assure more children can forget about cancer and ‘just be kids’ again.
The evening will include dueling pianos, cocktails and heavy appetizers, exciting auction items, and the opportunity to learn about the impact our community of giving has on the lives of Camp Wapiyapi campers and their families.
For 26 years, whether at camp, home or in the hospital, Camp Wapiyapi has been there for children struggling with pediatric cancer, their siblings who face challenges of their own, and their parents tending to their needs. Please join us for a rootin' tootin' good time to make a much needed difference in their lives!
About Camp Wapiyapi
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that serves families with a special kind of healing outside of the hospital. Founded in 1998 by a group of medical students, Camp Wapiyapi has served more than 2,000 children facing childhood cancer across the Rocky Mountain region. Our free summer camp provides a respite from the daily challenges of childhood cancer and an additional circle from which families may draw the strength for continued healing. Both patients and their siblings can escape cancer for a time and just be kids again.
