The historic Pleasant View Grange is located at 3400 N. 95th St., Lafayette, CO

Also known as Boulder Valley Community Hall, The Pleasant View Grange was built in 1900 following the establishment of the Colorado State Grange in 1874 to support rural and agricultural communities. The Grange provided a place for fostering social interaction, education, and political advocacy for farm and ranch issues.

Motivational speaker Erica Sodos will kick off the morning followed by an in depth presentation by representatives from the Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking. They will help us grasp the realities of human trafficking up and down the Rocky Mountain region and offer ways to mitigate this growing problem. After lunch we will explore and share ideas through these BOLD round table discussions:

Club presidents will highlight the BOLD work that is being done throughout District 12. District 12 Governor, Debbie Sundberg, will close out the day challenging us to "Wrap Our Bold in a Bow."                   


Conference Service Project

                                                                                           

The 2024 Governor's Seminar service project is in support of Mother House at Haven Ridge, a Boulder organization that helps mothers in crisis and their babies. Mother House offers care, support, and resources to navigate pregnancy and the role of mothehood. Beyond basic needs, the Mother House program helps the new moms develop the skills to be successful, responsible, and confident citizens and parents. 

Please bring any of the following items to our conference and together we will prepare care packages to support this important work:

A BOLD CELEBRATION

Emcee Erica Sodos will lead our Bold Celebration at the beautiful Chautauqua Community House on Saturday night A performance by the The CU Buffoons, the oldest a cappella group at the University of Colorado at Boulder, will be a special treat. The Buffoons repertoire is fun and even zany as the members write and arrange many of the group's songs. 

A sumptuous buffet dinner and cash bar will bring this special day to a close, along with our featured speaker former International Director and Past District 12 Governor Renee Coppock. Renee will share sights, sounds, and stories of her inspirational visit to Nepal to help us understand the impact of the Zonta International Global Project to End Child Marriage. This joint project with UNICEF and the United Nations Population Fund will inspire us to greater heights in service of our mission. 

And finally, we will celebrate one another with Club awards and recognitions of our District-wide Zontian of the Year recipients.





You can enjoy free events around Boulder, hosted by members of the Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County. They begin on Friday afternoon with a free tour of NCAR, The US National Center for Atmospheric Research and end on Sunday with a visit to the downtown Pearl Street Mall, the stunning Dushanbe Teahouse, or a hike on some of our 40 miles of open trails.
